Bosch ROS20VSK Random Orbit Sander Review

Bosch ROS20VSK Random Orbit Sander

The Bosch ROS20VSK is a good little sander. Despite its small size, it is a powerful sander. But if you are going to do heavy sanding, you should probably buy a belt sander rather than the ROS20VSK. But for most other sanding tasks, the ROS20VSK is a very good choice.

The Bosch ROS20VSK is easy to operate. Although it is relatively powerful vibrations are minimal. The compact size makes it easy to use even in cramped spaces. Best of all, hand fatigue is minimal. Additionally, the ROS20VSK is quiet and lightweight. The low price means that you get excellent value for your money.

A vacuum hose adapter is included for connecting the ROS20VSK sander to a 1-1/4″ or 1-1/2″ vacuum hose. Like all good sanders, it has a soft-start feature, minimizing the risk of swirl marks. It uses standard 8-Hole 5″ Hook-&-Loop discs.

The Bosch ROS20VSK comes with a 30 day money back guarantee and 1 year manufacturer warranty.

Note that the Bosch ROS10 sander is the same as ROS20VSK, except that it does not support variable speed. Given the small price difference, we recommend buying the ROS20VSK. The ROS20VSK has six different speed settings (1=low through 6=high).

Also the dust canister fills up quickly during heavy usage. Connecting the ROS20VSK to shop vac is recommended if you are going to do a lot of heavy sanding.

“This sander performs great and is quiet. The dust collector really works. The case allows you to load a disc quickly to align the holes with the sander, that helps with smoothe operation and dust collection. Excellent sanding quality.”

“I’ve only used this sander for a couple projects so far but it’s already my favorite of all the orbital sanders I have used. The dust collection works very well and the sander itself is extremely comfortable to use. The elongated handle allows for great control and the rubberized grip around the tool makes it easy to hold in a variety of positions.”

“I can sand for hours and not get an incredibly sore hand, because it sits smooth in the grip, and the orbital vibration is powerful, yet light feeling, doesn’t bounce around or feel like the sander is gonna tumble off if you release some pressure. I’ve used this for 2 years now, and I really can’t complain about anything. And it is definitely worth the money”
